You forget about plans you made.
You forget birthdays and minor details.
You can never find anything.
You can not sit still
You stare aimlessly at blank paper.
You feel constantly bored, which causes you to engage in high risk, high thrill activities.
You find that starting a project takes so much effort. Finishing them is almost impossible
You can only finish work when it is the last...

ADHD
matthewminhpham:
PROS: My mind can pull out any knowledge that i’ve learned in the past very quickly, and i can think of spontaneous things (which improves my creativity & i can tell the most randomest stories). CONS: I can never decide on things; it’s hard to focus on things, even when I really want to; & sometimes i’m really depressed for no reason.
MY LIFE.
Living With ADHD: My family is so rude sometimes. →
thebestrevengeissuccess:
I don’t care if you make jokes about me, tease me about things, or just plain make fun of me about the things I do. It’s whatever, and I don’t care. It’s usually funny. But when you start to make fun of my ADHD and everyone is laughing at me while we’re at dinner and I’m the only one without a smile on my face, that’s when I start to get upset. You didn’t even stop. You...

BAM! Another semester=conquered.
Sorry for being MIA. Another AD/HD blog posted something recently about the irony of how our blogs tend to die out … it happens.
But I’m back. Finals are over, the semester is done, and now just to sit back and wait for the grades to upload.
Come on high honors … I love shocking people.

amyystoberr asked: i'm trying to write my college essay, and i can't focus for my life. My ADD gets 100x when stress comes into the picture. Getting ready for college applications is horrible, just thought i'd vent to someone who can relate. Very frustrating!

I have Attention Deficit Disorder, and I recently discovered that some people just don’t get it… It doesn’t take much to make me upset, but this gets me every time.
How dare you make ignorant assumptions about something that you know nothing about?! I have A.D.D., yes, but that does not define me or my capabilities. It is not a disability. It’s not a limitation. I’m still...

While Attention Deficit Order, with or without hyperactivity, isn’t mentioned (it didn’t exist as a diagnosis back then), The Isolator was designed to help focus the mind, particularly when reading and writing (literacy is hard work!). The helmet not only eliminated all outside noise, limited sight to just one line of text at a time, but it also pumped in oxygen. From the looks...

Dear ADHD →

Everyday I wake up and take pills for you. Everyday I wake up at 5:30 am to run to help you. Everyday I carefully balance my diet to help you. However this never seems to mean anything to you. I don’t want to go away, I simply want to discipline you. While others get to walk over the pond on a bridge, you divert me too walking around. We don’t hate each other, do we? I just...

ADD Intuition →
adhd-saga:
ADD minds love connections. Many people with ADD see themselves as “big picture” thinkers. With less dominant left-brain functions, the right brain functions inevitably become more dominant. The right brain is home to emotions, pattern-recognition, intuition, creativity, and loves connections; the left brain is linear and works on rules, facts and figures. The ADD mind strives to...

What are some (adult) ADD symptoms →
attentionmental:
In adults, add and adhd often seems quite distinct from it does inside children-and its signs are exclusive for each individual. These categories highlight common symptoms of add. Carry out your best to spot the areas in places you experience issues. Once you determine your nearly all problematic signs, you can start to work on strategies for dealing with these. Common mature...

i read a blog post yesterday about symptoms of ADD and ADHD. whenever i tell people that coffee doesnt do anything for me, they nod but i think a lot of people think im bluffing. interestingly enough, i read yesterday that that is a symptom of ADD. many people with ADD experience reverse or no effects when drinking coffee or ingesting caffeine of any kind…

a-matterofinfinitehope asked: I just wanted to thank you and all of the other ADHD bloggers within the tumblrverse for sharing what you do. absolutelyhealthy asked: I diagnosed myself 5 years before I got the official diagnosis, I was pretty sure and I was right. So "diagnosing" (in quotes) yourself is sometimes the only option there is. absolutelyhealthy asked: Hey. Nice title of the blog. (: Will follow you and read other posts. I've read one of the articles about girls with ADD in your blog and I just want to say I don't agree much with girls being that much different. I'm not a girl but I was shy and definitely not hyperactive. But there's probably difference in frequency. Maybe not that huge.

I hate it when people diagnose themselves.
You do NOT have ADD.
If you DID have ADD, you’d be too busy working your butt off defying stereotypes instead of spazzing out about it on tumblr and making us look worse.
Attention Deficit Disorder … not a Deficit of Attention Disorder.

You do not say "I am ADD".
You say “I have ADD”.
Because ADD is not who you ARE,
It’s just part of who you’ve become.
